Welcome to Amy’s Beauty Rooms

Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. On this page you will find out a little more about me and the salon.

Within Amy’s Beauty Room, I offer a wide range of Beauty and Holistic Treatments.  I believe, to be the best version of ourselves we need to look at the whole picture, physically, mentally and emotionally. My wish for you at Amy’s Beauty Rooms is to feel completely comfortable and at ease whilst receiving the best possible service.  It's a space for you to come, relax and switch off if need be. 

I have always had a passion for beauty from a young age and it was always a dream of mine to have my own salon, when doing my A-Levels I was torn between studying Beauty Therapy or going to University. I decided to go to University first and if beauty was something I still wanted to pursue by the end of my course, then I would enroll once I graduated.  I’m glad I done it this way as I loved my time at university, the experience taught me so much, I left more mature, independent and knowing exactly what I wanted to do and that was Beauty Therapy.  I graduated from Coleraine in 2011 and enrolled at NWRC Strabane the same year.  I gained 4 qualifications over 2 years and was awarded Student of the Year for my dedication and hard work which I’m very proud off! 

Fast forward ten years of working within the beauty industry, I now have my own salon in Abercorn Square, Strabane.  I wanted a modern and welcoming space where I could offer a variety of different treatments and have the opportunity to expand my treatment list.  I work by myself on a one to one basis so you know every time you return you will get the same high standard of treatment.

My specialty is waxing, more specifically female intimate waxing.  I trained in Hollywood/Brazilian waxing in 2014 with The Wax Queen using Hot wax and then went on to train with Waxperts wax, since then I have perfected my technique to give you the quickest, smoothest and as pain free as possible wax!  I do my best to make sure there is not a hair left in sight. Head over to my Waxing FAQ's page for everything you need know.

I believe regular training is important within this industry to keep up to date with current trends and up skill where possible.  I recently qualified in Reflexology and hope to add more holistic treatments in the near future as well as new skin treatments.
